Through a press conference organized at its headquarters on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, the management of Accountability lab Mali launched the 7th edition of its campaign to identify and recognize the most honest civil servants of the year called ‘Integrity Icon’.
The seventh edition of Integrity Icon was launched today in the presence of the press, members of Accountability lab Mali, partners and winners of previous editions. Welcoming the guests, the Country Director of Accountability lab Mali, Djitteye Doussou Konaté, said that Integrity Icon is the flagship campaign of the organization global translocal network Accountability lab, adding that it is a global movement carried out in over a dozen countries.
In Mali, the campaign has a national scope and seeks to identify and celebrate public servants those who have stood out for their honesty, integrity and professionalism, people invested in providing basic social services to their fellow citizens, according to the Country Director. Still for Ms. Konaté, the celebration of integrity is also a way to fight against corruption, a scourge that undermines any development process.
