Bendu Conneh is a registered nurse at the Ministry of Health. With 8 years of service in the emergency ward at the Liberian Government Hospital in Buchanan, Bendu has shown transformational leadership in her work. At age 10, she lost a friend at a local hospital who died due to delays in the provision of care. She since promised to serve the community first and ensure that people receive the best healthcare services available.
Bendu is also described as an educator and mentor with a positive outlook on life. Her leadership qualities have positively influenced the hospital’s smooth running, including nursing care and community development.
