As a personal career objective, Mr Enuma\u00a0works to ensure transparency and accountability in how the government operates to maintain efficiencies, especially in the procurement of goods and services.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He holds a Master\u2019s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Port-Harcourt. He is also a trained and certified IT and procurement expert in several African countries and the United Kingdom which have enabled him to head the e-Governance Project of the State. His mastery of\u00a0 the Enterprise Network Infrastructure and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) package known as the State Integrated Financial Management System (SIFMIS) has ensured the digitisation of procurement processes in the state, including a Procure to Pay (P2P) system. Currently, he is the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the A Division in Calabar, Cross River State.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Mr Ayabatu is well known in his community for his upright behavior and discipline in handling matters of security. According to fellow colleagues and members of his community where he serves as a DPO, he has been instrumental in curtailing social vices such as cultism and has refused bribes running into millions of naira.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to ensuring that there is order under his command, he has been consistent in offering counselling sessions for convicts\u00a0 since 2015. He has spearheaded the digitization of the procurement process in Gombe. Prior to his appointment, the procurement process of the state was haphazard and left room for corrupt practices. However, due to the changes he was able to make through his digitisation reform project, he increased revenue remitted by his department from N1,400,000 to over N400,000,000 within the first 9 months of his engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n He is also a well-decorated and recognised public servant, having received awards such as the Distinguished Labour Service Medal (DLSM), the National Merit Award on Financial Management (NMAFM) and the Meritorious Diamond Award for Industrial Development by Corporate and Media Africa Communications. So when someone decides to dedicate their life to combating sexual and gender-based violence in Northern Nigeria, where this often occurs, they are bound to face external force trying to compromise their work and character.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Mwalin Abdu is an Assistant Chief State Counsel of the Ministry of Justice in Gombe State who has faced this challenge. But in her quest for justice, she has remained steadfast and uncompromising.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n For more than a decade she has been a legal practitioner in Nigeria working to ensure the clinical dispensation of justice to perpetrators of sexual and gender-based violence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As a result of the sensitivity of her work, she is often faced with bribes and threats of harm from family members of those indicted to security personnel and sometimes, even from her learned colleagues who are high up the legal ladder in Nigeria.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n She was given the \u201cRadio Friendly Personality\u201d award at Jewel FM, Radio Nigeria Gombe, for her incredible work combatting gender-based violence.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
